When you use the Subnet Calculator, the IP addresses and prefixes you enter are processed by our server to generate your results. We do not log, store, or archive the addresses you calculate. Once the calculation is complete and the page is sent to your browser, that data is cleared from the server's temporary memory.
This website uses basic session cookies to remember your current mode (IPv4, IPv6, VLSM, etc.) and to protect against CSRF attacks. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers that follow you across the web.
When you generate a CSV or JSON export, the file is created and streamed directly to your browser via PHP. No copy of your network plan is kept on our server disks after the download is initiated. To keep the export feature from being scripted for abuse, we count how many exports a browser session has triggered in a short rolling window; this count is a number only, tied to a temporary session, and is discarded — it is not a log of what you calculated or exported.
The "Recent" panel and the light/dark theme toggle both use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your last few calculations and your display preference between visits. This data is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to our server. You can clear it at any time with the "Clear" button in the Recent panel, or by clearing your browser's site data.
The What's My IP page displays the IP address your browser is currently connecting from, computed on the fly from the request. We do not write this address to a log file or database — it is shown to you and then discarded, the same as every other calculation on this site.
If we provide links to external resources (like network documentation), we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites.
